The Men’s Group is hosting back-to-back events in February, beginning with our annual German Heritage Dinner, otherwise known as the Sauerkraut Supper, on Saturday, February 18th from 4:30 – 6:30pm in Fellowship Hall. Come and enjoy a hearty German meal of sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes, beans, rolls and desserts. It promises to be festive and filling with music, chances to win money and prizes, and best of all…no German accent is required ! Help us by providing your favorite dessert for all to enjoy. All proceeds help fund the Bob Christophel Memorial Scholarship that is given each year to a Reading High School student/baseball/softball player. See the flyers at church for further details. All are welcome and we hope to see you there.
Seventy two hours later and still smelling like sauerkraut, the Men’s Group will be faithfully flippin’ flapjacks on Tuesday evening, February 21st to celebrate Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. Lovingly prepared pancakes, sausages and/or bacon, flavored syrups and other items will be on the menu. Come and have breakfast for dinner with us.
The February Men's Group meeting will be held on Sunday, February 12, from 5:00-7:00. For the regularly scheduled meetings, you could put in the Men's group, which I think meets the first Sunday of the month at 5:00p (this month is pushed back cause of the super bowl! |
